He Reigns!

You ever wonder what the heck is going in your life? I mean we have times in our lives where everything is going fine and dandy and then, you get that phone call, email or text message that can send you reeling. It may be pertaining to you, it may be pertaining to someone in your family, to a friend. At those moments, when all the lights from every intersection seem to be green and everything collides and chaos ensues. We immediately begin to take deep breaths, trying to pull ourselves together, to pick up the pieces, to process what is going on, to weep and I could go on.

But, no matter how bad it gets, no matter all the emotions that are brought to the surface we can know without a doubt Who is still on the throne. He reigns! Revelation 11:15, “…and He will reign forever and ever.” No matter how crazy youyr life gets, He reigns. No matter how many fires you’ve felt you’ve put out in the past day, past week, past month. He reigns. No matter how many times you’ve maybe wanted to throw in the towel and say, I’m done, I can’t take it anymore, where are you! You know He is there, You know He reigns through it all.

No matter how much happens to us in this world that tests us, that tempts us to think that He isn’t there, that this world is falling apart, that He could care less about our lives and all that is happening, that He is just sitting up there and watching it all happen, and doing nothing, we know because His Word says it’s true, that He is there and always will be the Lord and lords, the King of kings, the Almighty, Sovereign, Ruler of all for HE REIGNS forever and ever!

What is there in our lives today that we need to place in His Almighty hand? What in our lives do we need to lay at the altar and praise Him that He reigns in spite of all that is going on in our lives? Where has doubt, worry and skepticism crept in and we need to be reminded He reigns?

He reigns in the midst of it all, He always has and He always will.
