Isaiah 26:8-9, “…We have waited for You eagerly; Your name, even Your memory, is the desire of our souls. At night my sould longs for You, Indeed, my spirit within me seeks You diligently…
Wow! Do we hunger for Him like this? Do you sleep longing for God? Does your very being seek Him all day and all night long? This is crazy right? How often do we long for the presence of God, for Him to reveal more of Himself to us, for Him to show us His glory, for Him to speak to us, to just be with Him?
Philippians 3:7ff is where Paul talks about his passion for knowing Christ above all else to the point where he calls everything else trash compared to knowing Him.
Is that our heartbeat? Do we want to know Him and let Him encompass all of our lives? Do we consider everything else rubbish, trash, compared to knowing Jesus and being transformed and renewed by Him?
If not, the question is why not? What is holding us back from experiencing all that God wants for us?
If yes, then what are we waiting for? Dive in. Tell God all you want is Him to encompass all of your life.
May He be the desire of our souls, may we long for Him, may we seek Him diligently and may nothing else satisfy us.
